Hi folks and it’s a big hello from the crew at the Steely Eyed HQ. We are the new kid on the block regarding lifestyle clothing. This monthly blog/newsletter should hopefully help us reach you, our customer with news, reports and anything else we or you want to rant on about.
New stock ideas, life, outdoor woes and tales, DJ mixes, lifestyle shindigs, interviews and ramblings direct from our underground bunker tucked away in the deepest, darkest corner of Dumfries & Galloway. We hope it will keep you entertained and in the loop for a bit. But we don’t want to hold you up in getting out there and tackling the big old outdoors. Be it riding your bike, running, climbing, walking, and swimming, staying up late, swinging off trees or just being you. We at Steely Eyed HQ want to hear about it and your adventures. Big or small, every adventure has a tale to tell and a Steely Eyed determination to finish it. Send us your stories & photos and we will try a feature your tale. The dirtier the better!
WHAT’S FRESH?
Fresh stock and new garments are always on our mind but first we at Steely Eyed HQ want to build a solid “classic” range that promotes our brand and thinking. The Steely Eyed ethos is based on the fact that endurance in life and at play has no discrimination. Everyone, man, woman or beast is affected by it. Endurance appreciates hard work and determination, honesty and forward thinking. We at Steely Eyed HQ respect that ideology and so we have tried to build a brand around it.
STEELY EYED SHINDIGS. WHAT WE ARE UP TO?
Steely eyed is at the Kielder Chiller http://kielderchiller24.com - A 24hr mtb race in February that is arguably the hardest 24hr mtb race in the UK. Think every weather pattern served up with a cold side of grit and hate then you will kind of get the picture. We are racing but also suppling some prizes so all in all it should be a giggle.
STEELY EYED GARMENT NEWS
Starting from scratch we are trying to build a core classic Steely Eyed clothing range but to be honest with you it’s taking a lot longer than we had imagined. Sorry. We have our Classic Project Steel “ grass is greener” & “into a dark place” T-Shirts and Beanies which are doing well so our next step is to bring you our project Steel Hoodies and Steely Eyed checked shirts very soon. This will complete our core classic Project Steely Eyed clothing range and then we can push on and introduce our other exciting clothing ranges that we are working on.
We hope the core Steely Eyed clothing range will be up and running for the spring and thank you for being chilled about it.
At Steely Eyed HQ we also understand that the human race is rapidly destroying the planet and we are all involved. So anything we can do to help or hinder the destruction is a small plus. We have tried to incorporate a no plastic policy in our packaging and use eco-friendly products. We do try and source our clothing ethically and look for the WRAP certified production of products. http://www.wrapcompliance.org/en/home
We try and do something positive regarding this no matter how small the gesture is.
STEELY EYED LIFESTYLE
The Steely Eyed Lifestyle is greatly influenced by music. Here at Steely HQ we have an eclectic taste in sounds. Be it ambient layers of beats that flow easily through the mind and mirror the local rolling landscapes that haunts our vision. Or a banging mix of house /hip hop/ indie that ignites the night and helps us to hold hands with the early dawn. Music is the soul of how we feel so thank funk that we have some talented and cool DJ friends who take their influences from a variety of musical genres and are happy to share their intimate moments on the decks with you.

It’s January in Scotland, its cold and going outside can be a struggle but after watching this documentary by Chris Burkard we felt extremely balmy at Steely Eyed HQ. A film that inspired us to seek out new challenges and ideas. Searching for new pastures to find the perfect wave struck a chord with us at Steely Eyed. The determination to try something new, travel and follow your passion should echo with everyone in all walks of life. No matter if the numbers don’t match up.

This book “Dharma Bums” by Jack Kerouac has now been opened at the Steely Eyed HQ. I will take a trip through his mind and experiences to see what he was about back in 1958. I think I will find this quite satisfying to see what has changed. If anything.
